Localization

Localization is the process of translating Dragon Age for sale in other languages. The central resource used in localization is the talk table, a list of strings and associated string IDs. When Dragon Age is played in a different language, the talk table gets substituted with one where the strings associated with the string IDs have been translated into that language.

The Dragon Age toolset doesn't come with any of the tools that BioWare used to perform localization, but some of the other related features are still present. Most common are the "requires retranslation" flags associated with many text entry fields that are automatically set to "true" whenever the text in those fields gets changed. The vast majority of builders are unlikely to need to worry about localization, so these flags can be freely ignored.
